Summer Cooking for Older Kids: Fajitas and Knife Skills

Whether you are preparing your child to fly the nest and want him to learn to make inexpensive, healthy meals, or whether you just want to hang out with her in a fun interactive setting, our Monday evening summer series is for you! In this class you will have fun practicing knife skills while making tasty fajitas. You’ll julienne onions and peppers, dice chicken, mince jalapeños, chop fresh herbs, make pico de gallo, and dice avocado. That’s a lot of knife work in this fun, fast-moving class!
Ages: This series is appropriate for children 12 or older coming alone, or adults coming with a child 10 or older.
Menu:
From Scratch Chorizo Cheese Sauce

Chef’s Kitchen Tickets:
When a class has sold out of regular tickets, we add two tickets in the Chef’s Kitchen up front. The guests cook the same menu as the rest of the class; however, they use the gas cooktop and convection ovens in the Chef’s Kitchen, and they dine at a special table set up for just them. If other guests who purchased tickets for the class are not able to attend at the last minute, the Chef’s Kitchen guests will cook at one of our eight cooking stations, not at the Chef’s Kitchen.
Gratuity:
Leaving a gratuity is not required but appreciated if you enjoyed your cooking experience.
