Summer Cooking for Older Kids: Caribbean Dreaming
Monday, June 26, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm$65
If you’re craving a tropical island evening, join us for a Caribbean feast at JAX Cooking Studio. With its delicious mix of exotic spices and fresh flavors, this meal will have you imagining you are dining while gazing into the deep blue water of the Caribbean Sea! Whether you are preparing your child to fly the nest and want him to learn to make inexpensive, healthy meals, or whether you just want to hang out with her in a fun interactive setting, our Monday evening summer series is for you! Come hungry to enjoy the Caribbean feast you created!
Ages: This series is appropriate for children 12 or older coming alone, or adults coming with a child 10 or older.
BBQ Mango Meatballs
Fried Coconut Shrimp Tacos with Pineapple Slaw
Caribbean Rice and Beans
Guava Cupcakes with Guava Cream Cheese Frosting
$65: per person
Chef’s Kitchen: Guests in the Chef’s Kitchen cook the same menu as the rest of the class; however, they use the gas cooktop and convection ovens in the Chef’s Kitchen, and they dine at a special table set up for just them.
Cooking Station Assignments:
Two or three people who register together will cook the menu items with each other. Our goal is to have guests do as much as possible in the time allotted given the restrictions of appliances and cooktop space. If you purchase a single adult ticket, you will be assigned to work at a station with another person who purchases a single ticket.
Each person (adult and child) will receive enough ingredients to prepare a generous portion of every menu item or one cake per person for cake decorating classes.
Leaving a gratuity is not required but appreciated if you enjoyed your cooking experience.
