Have you always wanted to learn to cook African food but were intimidated by the unfamiliar spices and other ingredients typically found in this country’s cuisine? In this vegan cooking class, we will create a deliciously fragrant Moroccan tagine, jollof rice served with gomen wat, and finishing with malva pudding. Complimentary wine served during the cooking experience.

Menu:
Akara – Nigerian black eyed pea fritters with vegan lemon herb “aioli”
Moroccan Vegetable Tagine with Potatoes, Chickpeas, Tomatoes, and Spices
Oven Roasted Jollof Rice – Made with ginger, garlic, and paprika
Gomen Wat – Ethiopian collard greens with a cardamon and cumin
Vegan Malva Pudding – South African dessert similar to sticky toffee pudding

Pricing:
$75 per adult
Chef’s Kitchen: Guests in the Chef’s Kitchen cook the same menu as the rest of the class; however, they use the gas cooktop and convection ovens in the Chef’s Kitchen, and they dine at a special table set up for just them.

Gratuity:
Leaving a gratuity is not required but appreciated if you enjoyed your cooking experience.
