Summer Cooking for Older Kids: Uptown Southern Favorites
Monday, July 24, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm$65
Join us as we cook a menu filled with the deliciousness found in popular southern restaurants. Our chef will guide you through each recipe as you create your own feast and adjust the seasoning to your liking. Whether you are preparing your child to fly the nest and want him to learn to make inexpensive, healthy meals, or whether you just want to hang out with her in a fun interactive setting, our Monday evening summer series is for you!
Ages: This series is appropriate for children 12 or older coming alone, or adults coming with a child 10 or older.
Nashville Hot Chicken with Crunchy Chili Slaw and Pickles on a Brioche Bun (you control the heat level!)
Nashville Hot Sauce for Sandwich
Oven Roasted Okra with Guest-made Ranch Sauce
From Scratch Mac-and-Cheese
Key Lime Pie and House Made Whipped Cream
$65: per person
Chef’s Kitchen: Guests in the Chef’s Kitchen cook the same menu as the rest of the class; however, they use the gas cooktop and convection ovens in the Chef’s Kitchen, and they dine at a special table set up for just them.
Cooking Station Assignments:
Two or three people who register together will cook the menu items with each other. Our goal is to have guests do as much as possible in the time allotted given the restrictions of appliances and cooktop space. If you purchase a single adult ticket, you will be assigned to work at a station with another person who purchases a single ticket.
Each person (adult and child) will receive enough ingredients to prepare a generous portion of every menu item or one cake per person for cake decorating classes.
Leaving a gratuity is not required but appreciated if you enjoyed your cooking experience.
