Magdiale Wolmark is a two-time James Beard Award semi-finalist and the winner of Guy’s Grocery Games Clash of the Vegetarians. He is in Jacksonville to offer two plant-based classes at JAX Cooking Studio on Sunday\, September 26. Chef Magdiale will teach you to make the dishes that won over the judges with incredibly discriminating palates! Complimentary wine will be served during the cooking experience. \nMenu:\nIsraeli Couscous “Mac-n-Cheese”\nCountry Fried Cauliflower\nYellow Squash Slaw\nPortabella Patty Melt\nKing Oyster Mushroom Mole \nPricing: \nAdults: $80 per person\nChef’s Kitchen Tickets:\nWhen a class has sold out of regular tickets\, we add two tickets in the Chef’s Kitchen up front. The guests cook the same menu as the rest of the class; however\, they use the gas cooktop and convection ovens in the Chef’s Kitchen\, and they dine at a special table set up for just them. If other guests who purchased tickets for the class are not able to attend at the last minute\, the Chef’s Kitchen guests will cook at one of our eight cooking stations\, not at the Chef’s Kitchen. The Chef’s Kitchen tickets are offered at a discounted rate in recognition of the flexibility requested of these guests. \nGratuity:  \nLeaving a gratuity is not required but appreciated if you enjoyed your cooking experience. \nMAGDIALE WOLMARK\nHe is the visionary behind Harvest Kitchen\, is a 2 time James Beard Award semi finalist and is considered a pioneer in the Midwest locavore movement. His style is vegetable-focused\, showcasing the delicious and nutritious qualities of plants. Since 2000 his restaurants and food service businesses have operated with uncompromising and rigorous sourcing standards\, focusing on supporting local farms. As an aspiring competitive athlete Magdiale developed insight into the effects of diet on physical and mental performance. A Silver Medalist in Tai Chi in the Beijing World Martial Arts Olympics\, he has woven his love of good food and social gathering with his sensitivity to healthy cooking.
