Dinner in the Appalachians
March 5, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm$60
Join us in the studio for a breath of mountain air as we eat our way through one of our country’s most beautiful regions- the Appalachians! Our chef will guide you through the recipes and history of this wonderful area. You will be enjoying your Southern delicacies at the end of class so be sure and bring your appetite! Complimentary wine will be served during the cooking experience.
Hoecakes with Housemade Apple Butter– savory cornbread pancakes get their name from field workers that would cook them over the fire on their hoes. They’re as delicious as they are rich in Appalachian history!
Pecan Crusted Catfish with Stone-Ground Grits and Seasonal Roasted Vegetables– corn is one of Tennessee’s main crops, so it is eaten in many forms! Grits are one of the most beloved. We’re serving it up with one of Appalachians’ most delightful fish- the catfish!
Chocolate Chess Pie– we will end sweetly with an oldie but a goodie, chess pie! It comes in many flavors but we will take it the decadent way of chocolate!
Adults: $60 per person
