An Afternoon of Arepas

Arepas are a South American delight! Made from a corn dough, they are traditionally grilled or pan-fried and filled with a savory or sweet ingredients. Join us for a fun afternoon learning to make a variety of arepas. Each guest will prepare their own arepa dough and a batch of each filling. Toppings such as fresh avocado, lettuce, and tomatoes will be provided.
Bring a child!
An adult registered for class may bring a minor child for $35 by registering for two tickets and entering the code “Arepas” in the Promo Code box on the checkout page. Adults registered with a minor child will make one batch of arepas together. If you would like to each make your own batch, please register for two adult tickets.
Carne Molida —seasoned ground beef.
Domino — refried black beans with queso fresco.
Pollo Guisado — shredded chicken in tomato sauce.
Guayaba con Queso — sweet guava jam with melty Manchego cheese.
Guasacaca —Venezuelan avocado cream. Used as a sauce for the arepas.
